Why the name

A hollow grind is the curve that makes a razor sharp.

Barbers grind the sides of a straight razor slightly concave so the edge gets thin enough to glide instead of drag. That's the whole idea here: take the time to make it thin, make it right, make it clean.

Every shave gets two hot towels, pre-shave oil, a fresh blade, and a cold finish. Every cut ends with a razor-clean neckline. No rushing the chair.

Quick answers

Never had a straight-razor shave. Will it hurt?

No. Two hot towels soften everything first, and the blade is fresh. Most people fall asleep. Tell us if your skin is sensitive and we'll go with the grain only.

What if I'm running late?

Text the shop. Up to 10 minutes we'll still do the full service. Past that we may shorten it or move you to the next open slot.

Do you cut kids' hair?

Yes, 12 and under. Tommy is great with first-timers and nervous kids. Saturday mornings go fast, so book ahead.

Can I cancel?

Free up to 2 hours before. After that, or no-shows, we ask for half the service price next visit.
