01Who we are
This website, www.kaldrin.dev, is operated by Kaldrin Developments ("Kaldrin", "we", "us" or "our"), a website design and digital services business. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
This policy covers information collected through this website, the emails you send us, and the records we keep about our clients in our internal business system. If you become a client, any project agreement we sign with you may include additional terms about how we handle information.
02Information we collect
Information you give us
When you use our contact form or email us, we collect the information you choose to provide:
- Your name and email address
- Your business name and business type (optional)
- The content of your message, and anything else you include in follow-up emails
Please don't send us sensitive information (such as financial account numbers, health information or government ID numbers) through the contact form.
Information collected automatically
Like almost every website, when you visit, our hosting provider automatically processes basic technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request, the referring page, and the date and time of your visit. This appears in server logs used for security, troubleshooting and reliability.
We do not use analytics tools, advertising trackers, tracking pixels or session recording on this website.
Fonts, images and scripts
The website's fonts, images and scripts are served from our own site, so viewing a page doesn't send your information to font, image or script providers.
Website assistant
If you open the chat assistant on our website, the messages you type are sent to Anthropic (the provider of the Claude AI model) to generate replies. If you ask to be contacted and give your name and contact details, the assistant sends them and a summary of your request to our business email. Please don't share sensitive personal information in the chat.
Free site checkup
If you use the free site checkup, the web address you enter is sent to Google's PageSpeed Insights service to test that site's speed and setup. We don't send your name or contact details with it, and the report is kept only in your browser tab unless you choose to send it to us.
Information about our clients
If you become a client, we keep the business information we need to provide our services and run our business, such as your name, business name, email address, phone number, project details, invoices, payments and receipts, and our notes about the work. We store these records in a private, access-controlled business system that only authorised Kaldrin staff can sign in to, and we use them to deliver our services, invoice you, send you receipts and keep business records.
Our staff may use an AI assistant (Claude, provided by Anthropic) inside that system to search and summarise our records and to draft routine entries. When they do, the relevant records are sent to Anthropic to produce the response. Suggestions from the assistant don't change our records until a member of our team reviews and approves them.
03Contact forms
When you submit the contact form, your details are checked by a server function on our hosting provider and then delivered to our business email inbox by our email delivery provider. The form includes a hidden field used only to filter out automated spam.
We use what you send only to read and respond to your enquiry, and, if you'd like to work with us, to discuss and provide our services. We don't add you to a mailing list or send marketing emails unless you ask us to.
05How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Respond to your enquiries and communicate with you
- Prepare proposals and provide the services you request
- Operate, maintain and secure the website, including preventing spam and abuse
- Keep business records and comply with our legal obligations
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on these legal bases: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract; our legitimate interests in running our business, responding to enquiries and keeping the site secure; compliance with legal obligations; and your consent, where we ask for it.
07Data retention
We keep enquiry messages and related emails only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, to carry out any work we do together, and to keep appropriate business records. If an enquiry doesn't lead to a working relationship, we delete it when it's no longer needed, typically within two years of our last contact, unless we need to keep it longer to meet a legal obligation or resolve a dispute.
We keep client records, invoices and receipts for as long as we need them to provide our services and to meet tax, accounting and other legal obligations.
Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for limited periods under its own retention practices.
08Your rights and choices
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you and provide a copy
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Delete your information
- Stop contacting you
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights. For example, if you are in the EEA or UK you can also object to or restrict certain processing, request data portability, withdraw consent at any time, and complain to your local data protection authority. Residents of some U.S. states, including California, have similar rights to know, correct and delete personal information.
To make a request, email us using the details in section 14. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, and we'll respond within 30 days, or sooner if the law requires. We won't treat you differently for exercising your rights.
09Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We don't track visitors across websites, so this site behaves the same whether or not your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal. Because we don't sell or share personal information for advertising, a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal is effectively honoured automatically.
10Children's privacy
This website is intended for businesses and adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11Security
The website is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections, and we use reputable providers with their own security programs. We limit access to enquiry emails and client records to the people who need them, and our internal business system requires two-factor authentication for owner accounts. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
12International visitors
We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. If you contact us from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
13Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we change how the website works or which providers we use. We'll post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date above. If we make significant changes, we'll make that clear on this page.
